do 91 N/As have rev/rpm limiter ?

is there a rev/rpm limiter on a 91 n/a ... mine hit about 7500 - 7800 rpm then cut off to about the 4500 - 5500 rpm range when sliding sideways. car still runs the same wich real strong.

yes. 8500 You were probably there and didnt realize it. Rotarys rev up quickly.

put it in first gear and stomp on it........its the best way to find out where the rev limiter is.

You meant the power did not return until the engine speed had dropped all the way down to 5000rpm? If that's the case you have a problem somewhere. The rev limiter cuts the rear rotor when the engine speed exceeds 8500rpm and then turns it back on as soon as the engine speed drops below that.

Why? So you can blow a motor? The rev limiter is there for someone that doesn't know when to let up. It's a safety precaution.


I have a high school friend that blew 2 motors that way, he ignored the buzzer while racing someone and popped the apex seal.(TWICE)
