It was for a civic or integra I think. But it really doesn't matter since it just needs to be 3" and have a 45* bend. I cut it shorter, chopped the existing tube off the side, tapped it for the NPT fitting, drilled a hole and had a piece of aluminum welded on for the BOV. It's all completely custom, so don't expect to find it pre-made on ebay.

i did the same thing a month ago, but got the walls of the box to contour the underside of my hood and lined the edges with some door weatherstripping.
and my hoodprop fits fine. also left the stock snorkel and plumbed the end into the side of the box.

I like the idea of keeping the stock snorkel. I had a concept box I made a few years ago where I ducted the snorkel to it, but ended up tossing the cone filter since the car was still NA and the box allowed lots of hot air in too. I was going to try it with this box, but knew it would be hard to get the lid high enough for the snorkel, yet low enough to clear the hood. Did you make a lid, or just skip that and fit the shape to seal against the hood?

If my dad wasn't a welder, I would have. But he's been TIG welding for 30-something years, which means perfect welds & no labor cost for me. Win-win.

Yeah... aluminum welding is complicated :-/. Did you say this could work with an S5 AFM?

Sure it'd work for an S5. You just don't need to drill the 4 holes in the back side of the box for AFM mounting. A hole just big enough for the inlet is all you would need.

got the top edge of the box to fit against the hood with weatherstripping and there is barely barely enough room for the snorkel. I think it looks good, open and has the stock snorkel.
