It was for a civic or integra I think. But it really doesn't matter since it just needs to be 3" and have a 45* bend. I cut it shorter, chopped the existing tube off the side, tapped it for the NPT fitting, drilled a hole and had a piece of aluminum welded on for the BOV. It's all completely custom, so don't expect to find it pre-made on ebay.

and my hoodprop fits fine. also left the stock snorkel and plumbed the end into the side of the box.

I like the idea of keeping the stock snorkel. I had a concept box I made a few years ago where I ducted the snorkel to it, but ended up tossing the cone filter since the car was still NA and the box allowed lots of hot air in too. I was going to try it with this box, but knew it would be hard to get the lid high enough for the snorkel, yet low enough to clear the hood. Did you make a lid, or just skip that and fit the shape to seal against the hood?

Sorry, to revive this thread, but did you take the TID to a ship to have to pipe for the BOV welded on?

If my dad wasn't a welder, I would have. But he's been TIG welding for 30-something years, which means perfect welds & no labor cost for me. Win-win.

Yeah... aluminum welding is complicated :-/. Did you say this could work with an S5 AFM?

Sure it'd work for an S5. You just don't need to drill the 4 holes in the back side of the box for AFM mounting. A hole just big enough for the inlet is all you would need.

got the top edge of the box to fit against the hood with weatherstripping and there is barely barely enough room for the snorkel. I think it looks good, open and has the stock snorkel.

I tried, but no response, maybe a user no longer active.
However I also ask other people who have built this box, if you can give help... I think, is the desire of many user a airbox like this.
Sorry for the thread up.

All measurements are in inches. And I didn't note the width of all the tabs in the drawing, but they're 0.75". It'd get too cluttered with them in there too. Also, if you have A/C in your car, you'll need to bend the hardline that runs to the condenser in order to fit the box in. And a 5" filter will fit just barely, as long as the connector section is about 1" or less. If more room is needed, you can move the AFM attachment point closer to the passenger-side of the car.

what are the dimensions in terms of inches
