Disabling S5 seatbelt beeper

I've got a 90 S5 vert that has been converted into a Lemons car. Stock seats and seatbelts are gone. I'd like to make the seatbelt beeper go away as it gets annoying to listen to while riding around under caution. I tried to connect the 2 ends of the leads in the seatbelt together thinking it needed the circuit completed but that didn't work. Searching on here I found steps for doing it on an S4 but apparently the S5 is different. Can someone tell me where to look to disable this thing? Of where to point the shotgun? The beeping is very non directional and I can't for the life of me figure out where it is coming from.

The speaker can be removed from the CPU circuit board. It's the long black box next to the interior fuse box.

I inserted an apex seal spring into the speaker hole and gave it a lobotomy. All was quiet. Thanks for the help!

What?

The seatbelt switch is negative triggered, so unplugging the seatbelt harness behind the seat should do it. IF in fact that does not help, your CPU is effed.

No, I had to remove it in order to get the cover off. Yes, it was a collossal pita in a car with a full roll cage with side impact bars and a rather large dude doing the work. Without the cage, it doesn't seem like too bad a job. My guess would be to remove the seat and carpet and get on with it.

As to whether the CPU is effed or not, maybe, maybe not. Don't really care. Last weekend the car completed a 24 hour race straight through with no breakdowns. I'm not exactly sure what all that CPU controls but whatever it is, we didn't need it or whatever part it controls that we did need worked fine.

Didn't know it was a race car.
