Which direction to install clutch?
I put my clutch back on the rebuilt motor last night, I noticed, looking at the clutch disc: on one side of the disc the springs pertrude further than the other. I put the side where it protruded less toward the flywheel, and the side that came out more toward the pressure plate. is this correct? does it matter?

I put mine in the other day and wasn't sure of this either. I am not sure about the springs but in the center where the teeth are on one side protrudes out about 1/4inch and on the other side it is almost flush. I installed it it wouldnt evenso the side that protrudes out further towards the engine side. Is this correct? Also is once I tightened down the pressure plate the disc was sandwiched so tight between the flywheel and pressure plate that it has now way to move(spin). is this right? Im hoping this is how its suppose to be until the clutch pedal is depressed

I didnt have internet access that day so I didnt see this thread till after the fact. The thread never mentioned which way the protruding side of the center of the disc faced. So reading the thread didnt help as I cant remember which way the springs were oriented(thats what they used as a reference). I actually worded my original statement backwards though I have the side of the disc that has the center ring protruding further towards the tranny not the motor as I had originally thought/posted. Thanks for sarcastically telling me I did a good job though. that was valuable input.
