ok my rearend goes clunk whenever i shift gears. i know its a support mount but are their different support mounts cause i called the auto parts place one time and they act like they didnt know what i was talking about. does it have a specific name for it? and is it just a main mount in the back easy to notice? can someone explain to me if its just a take off and put new one on kind of thing or if its difficult thanks.

 

Could be the driveshaft as well. Does it make noise depending on the load on the drivetrain (ie you floor it, it clunks-you take your foot off it doesn't clunk)?

yup u hit the gas and it clunks let go and it doesnt.

 

Its the diff mount mine was doing the same thing.

Pain in the *** to change yourself, so I paid Rotary Performance to do mine. It took 2 of thier techs an hour and a half to do it.

 

mines does the same thing. I was thinking about replacing the mount but I heard that its easier to just weld the mount to the subframe. I still need to fix mines tho :P
