differential gear
well i have the stock gear in my 87 n/a i would jus love to change it.... what do u think would be a great gear to put in for good acceleration i did a search and i came up with a 3.90 gear what do u think ? please help with ur .02 thanks

I think the final gear of 3.90 would result in a higher to speed, I think what you want is the 4.10 gear from the GTUs, could be wrong.
An LSD sends power from a wheel doesn't have traction to the other wheel, while an open differential doesn't.

3.90 isn't going to help you at all, it's going to make the car slower on acceleration. Easier on gas milage, and theoretically, a higher top speed (assuming that the RX7 with 4:10s are RPM limited, not drag or HP limited)
The 4:30 will give you a bit more acceleration, at the cost of top speed and gas milage. However, this isn';t a cheap thing to swap out, 4:30s are rarer than hens eggs, you're better off buying it from MazdaComp directly ($$$)
If you REALLY want to get some omph, call up Speed Source in Florida for some 4:88s or 5:12s. But you're looking at ~1K for that.
