I've searched and found how to make DRL a couple of different ways, Aaroncake has a perfect write up on how to do this. What I want to do is make mine so that the headlights work normally with the headlight switch, but do not pop up until I use the headlight cleaner switch. I don't want an additional toggle switch, and I don't want my lights to come on with the ignition switch. Icemark said in a previous post about DRL to remove the D4 diode out of the headlight switch. Does anyone know if that will do what I want ? ( or is that a question for Icemark to answer ). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
ok sorry more searching has confirmed the D4 diode will do what I want it to. But is there a way to do the same thing through wiring insted of removing the diode ?
anyone ? still looking for an answer to my second post in this thread. Thanks

No the switch will not operate that way. The only way is to have a second switch inline with the headlight cleaner switch to break the connection that makes the headligts go up.
With the second swith you can turn your headlights on without them going up.
If you chose to use momentary switch you can make your headlights go up little by little just by tapping the button on the switch. when the button is held down your headlights will go up as long as the headlight cleaner switch or headlights ae turned on.
