Different Options.
I've got these two 12" Lightning Audio Subs in Bandpass boxes in the back, and they take up waaaay too much space. I like the kick and tone they have, even at low volumes.
Alright, no whoring please. I pulled them straight out of my VW when I bought this.
Anyways, do all FC's have a storage space behind the front two seats? Or one that can be made? I want a couple of JL 10's and I'm looking at options to place them. I didn't know FC's even came with 2+2 seats or storage bins, and I know mine seems solid from the front seats back.

I don't want the bins, I just want the space. I didn't think there was space because that portion of my car seems to be solid. I was just wondering if I can take it apart so the space becomes available? Thanks for the info so far.

OH you have the very rare plastic cover with no bins in it. There is about 4 cubic feet under there if you get a pro to make you a box OR you could simply pull the cover off and dynamat the crap out of the steel in the bottom of the car and use the cover as the face of the box but you will need to do some fiberglass work to seal it up (inside and out)
here is a pic of what I did.

YES! Finally something about my car is rare! Go base model! I'm gonna see about taking it off and turning it into a fibreglass box. I help my g-pa with a fair amount of boatwork so I'm no stranger to fibreglass. It was either this or make a fiberglass box in the same place as mine are now (read, right over where the bins would be) with the subs making a V right behind the seats and the Amp in the middle to free up the most space.

In regards to speakers in the storage bin locations...

You can make it sound okay... with nice sealed fiber-glassed enclosures, but it will never ever sound good.
I say this as a FC owner since 87 that saw the first of this type of set up in 86, and spent over 17 years installing or working for car electronics companies, and several years as a IASCA judge, as well as personally tried every type of enclosure and hundreds of speakers (including even transmission line and assorted band pass setups) in that area. Because of the car's internal acoustics, and structure. It is just a poor choice on either the FC or FD (but a great spot on the SA/FB). Top it off by half the people out there mount the speakers onto a board that screw into a flimsy piece of fiber re-enforced plastic that is only designed to hold storage bins and carpet up...
It will never ever ever ever ever sound good... it can sound okay... if you like okay sound then, by all means be my guest to use that area.
