A different OMP question

I know ideally to eliminate the OMP is to take it off and block it off. But in a pinch is it going to hurt the motor to just put "solid" bolts in place of the banjo fitting bolts on the omp?
I've already taken off the linkage and am premixing. Just to let you all know.

Well, that's part of how you remove the stock OMP to premix anyway... Leaving the banjo bolts will leave leaks to the intake manifold and combustion chambers unless you block the lines at the pump.

If the pump is still connected it will be pumping oil regardless of where the lines go... you wouldn't want that either. Pull it, block it, and block the 4 injector holes. IIRC they use M10 1.25 bolts and I think around 10-12mm depth would work, to be sure compare with the banjo bolts (with the fittings) to make sure they won't bottom out.

Years ago when I first removed my OMP I put bolts and washers on the OMP lines and cut bolts short enough to go in the OMP to block the ports. No ill effects came from this besides a little wet OMP.

That's what I was looking for. I just didn't want the pressure being blocked to lock something up.

In other words a constant leak? Don't you think it would be better to pull it and block it off especially on if he has an S4 car?
