Difference between S4 and S5 Turbo II

How can I identify if I got a s4 turboII or s5 turboII engine? I don't mean if i got s4 or s5 car. (I know- moldings, tail lights, ect.)

probably not. it would be a good idea to do some research before attempting projects such as this.

I think ibtl is I be the loss? It's a super laim abbreviation, just like ted.
Most abbreviations are retarded, it only takes a couple more seconds to type "I be the loss".... Lazy people. ANYWAYS, back to the purpose of the thread. Turbonut explained everything you need to know. I know theres a sure way of finding out if its an s4 or s5 by counting the fins on the fan, forget what the count was. Think http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ says it.

IBTL = in before the lock.

as in this thread will be locked because these simple questions are asked a million times and the original poster should search before making threads. it would have been much smarter (and easier) to stick with a s4 swap. now you will either need to get a stand alone or hope to god you know how to read the factory wiring diagrams and enjoy messing with rewiring most of your car.

HAVE FUN

^ by following that method he is going to need all the s4 t2 electronics. they usually cost around $200.

Snowing around here so I'd thought I'd spend some time in the house and look for more info.
Here's some reading:

none of those are any more helpful than the rotaryresurrection site.

in the top link...the posted swapped ALL wiring for s5...under the dash, all the body wiring, EVERYTHING. Also, his car isn't running correctly so that's not really helpful. http://www.ohiorotaries.com/smf/index.php?topic=3090.0

the 2nd link pretty much has no information that hasen't been posted already.

i dont think there is a link that shows all the wiring that needs to be done for the swap.
