ok i just bought 3 2nd gen's and i was told one was a s-4 and 2 are s-5's whats the differance. i was told once before briefly but then i forgot again. summer is coming up and i need to fix a few up for summer fun driving. thanks guys.

s4 86-88
black rubstrips, black or bodycolor mirrors and spoiler, depends, LSD models had clutch
had grey, blue or red interiors, except for 10AE which had black leather
turbo ii was introduced in 87
vert in 88
10th AE was a Turbo II w/ all crystal white paint, painted rubstrips, painted spoilers, wheels painted white, all black leather, sunroof, ac, etc etc

s5 had all bodycolor parts, different rubstrips, different front bumper design, the round taillights, slightly improved ecu, higher compression rotors, 10% more power, the LSD models had viscous
GTUs was made in 89 and 90, 1000 in 89 and 100 in 90, was the lightweight racing model to celebrate the RX-7s domination in GTU racing, had no sunroof, no ac, radio only, and a 4.3:1 rear end which no other rx7 had.
vert was the only 92 rx-7 in US
had blue, black and i think red interiors
n/a had 9.7:1 compression, 160hp, had some improved intake manifold stuff
turbo had 9:1 compression, hardened stationary gears, and 200hp

theres more stuff, but thats teh jist of it
and oh yeah, s4's were lighter by about 150-200lbs for the same model, do to a few things, one being more sound deadening, and the others im not really positive of
