Talking Diff Mount Question

Hey everyone, so I'm pretty sure my front diff mount is beat but my question is, do I need to replace my rear diff mounts as well the front mount? What are the symptoms of bad rear mounts? Right now my car "pops" when you shift and / or lay on the throttle hard. Should they be replaced together (front and rear) or does it really matter?

Thanks,
iSP33D-for-J3SUS

If you've got the cash and access to a press, might as well do 'em all while it's out.

Get the competition mounts, by the way. They're cheaper

Besides being stiffer whats the real advantage of them being stiffer.

The only attractive option about the competition is that there CHEAPER for my pockets

yeah thats not the diff mount he means....you have a bad diff mount in the verry fron of the diff next to the drive shaft yoke and if is a must have, now i am going to give you very good advise here....i went through 5 of these and they cost like 150 or 200 new CRAZY, you can take the broke mount to a weld shop and for about 5 to 10 dollers they can weld it you for you then it is a solid mount and will never break again, dont ask me y it took me 5 of those to realise it was that easy

if you want to make sure that that is the diff that is bad take and powerbreak your car if you hear and feel something hitting rite behind your seat that is the porblem....hope it helps

If you put a solid mount on there, be prepared for something else to break next time, like the subframe. I did it with the Mazda rubber competition mount.

Or you could just jack up the rear of the car, look at it and push up on the rear of the driveshaft to see if the mount's broke.

iSP33D-for-J3SUS, You might as well replace the rear mounts as well while you have it apart. Even if it doesn't make a difference, at least for the peace of mind. I wish I had done that.
