Dies at idle, Fresh rebuild Turbo 2

Details of the build. Home rebuild of a stock 13b from a 1988 Fc3s turbo 2. No major mods on the car, except for a catback single, battery relocation, and thermowax delete. Everything else is stock, with new gaskets and new 550cc injectors.

Problem at hand. It wont idle. If I start the car without touching the gas, it will idle up to 2800, then idle down, sputter and die. If I start it while feathering the gas, and just barely hold it, I can get it to idle 1000, 1500, wherever, and sounds great. Let off the gas and itll go down below 1000 and die. If I VERY gently feather off the gas, it can barely idle at 500.

I was able to put a weight on the pedal to about 700-800rpm and checked the timing, and found I got it spot on, so that is out of the question.

Possible problems :
BAC. (I checked for 12v activation, and power, key on, and I can hear it click)
AFM (I doubt it is the issue)
Bad fuel pump? (Jumped the tester, still no change)
Vacuum leaks (I will check for these soon) (All gaskets have been replaced, and all vacuum lines are silicone and new)

The issue at hand is that, I live in California, and this project needs to be smog legal. If I have vacuum leaks on hoses like the BAC hose, Turbo inlet hose, Blow off valve Hoses, Where would I find replacements for those Emission Hoses? I cant find it on mazdatrix or Atkins or ebay.

Just any insight and help would be appreciated! Pic for attention.

Sounds like you forgot to hook up an air line somewhere and have a giant vacuum leak. In the picture, your intercooler elbow is sitting in the airbox. There is another hose pictured that is not hooked up as well.

Haha I wish it was that simple, but the picture isnt up to date. I removed then UIM to double check everything and do a once over, but couldn't find anything obvious.

I agree with the above, vacuum leak. Try holding the AFM slightly open and see if you can get it to hold an idle.

Make one of these.

Another way to test for leaks, get car to idle low as possible, wand the intake system and vacuum lines with unlit propane torch will cause revs to increase if theres a vac leak.
Made sure your plugs are good and plug wires going to the right places i take it? Hows battery voltage?
