WOOHOO!!!! I Fixed my pulsing idle finally!!!!!!

Anyone who has listened to me bitch and complain for the last 6 months or so about my idle knows what I'm talking about. I had the problem of the idle bouncing up and down for as long as the car was on. It happened since I put in a rebuild engine a while ago and messed something up. What that was I am still unsure. But what I did over this week was replace all the intake type gaskets, remove the vacuum rack, and replaced every vacuum hose with a silicon one!!

Finally I can drive my car like normal. Woot woot!!

1 problem did arise though. The idle is steady at about 1k. If it drops below that it rattles pretty violently and wants to stall. Any ideas on the cause of that? (It IS a freshly rebuilt engine with about 300 miles on it) Also, how do I adjust the idle other than on the bac valve? Is there a screw somewhere that could be holding my idle above 1k, or is it likely a small vacuum leak of some sort?

you can adjust the tps to lower the idle.

You need to really be patient and wait at least 1,000 miles after break-in.

your cars arent supposed to idle totally perfectly until atleast 500 miles i'd say. i wouldnt be expecting a nice smooth idle til break-in is done, but thats just me.

Ok, thanks for the replies guys.

I kinda figured that it wouldn't be able to drop because the seals are totally broken in yet, I just wanted to confirm it. And it does idle very smoothly. No sputtering or anything whatsoever and it stays rock steady at about 1100.
