did'nt want to start
did'nt want to start
Today I left work, about 20 minutes some city some hiway, then stopped for an hour. I went to start it up (89 n/a) and it just cranked and cranked. I let off after maybe 5 secs, then repeated. On the third try I pushed the throttle about half way and let off and it started. BTW my accellerated warm-up has'nt been working the same now that has gotten cold out. Any thoughts. I did the full tune up about 3500 miles ago.
Are you sure you had spark at the time? When diagnosing a no-start, you need to take in to account that the motor needs air, fuel and spark to start. You probably didn't check for those, being that you tried it a few more times and she fired right up.
If I were you, I'd go over the ignition circuit, make sure all the wiring and **** is in tact, no corrosion or anything. Spark plug wires, plugs themselves, coils, etc. Then move onto the fuel system.
Check your injectors, see if they're dirty. Also, check the wiring for your injectors. Maybe they weren't getting a good signal from the CAS and didn't inject fuel when they were supposed to. While you're at it, check the injectors. Make sure the solenoids click when you give em power. Make sure the connections there are in good shape.
Since you said you were driving and let the car sit for a little bit, there's a good chance it was warm. So try to check all these things out when the car is warm.
That's just where I'd start...
