didn't start

went to go to the store car didnt start.... so got it jumped thinking it was my radio that killed it. so i go to winn dixie to get some junk food. get in to start and nothing. as i was driving i would hit the brakes and the lights would blink, not off but like blink whenever i hit the brakes. the voltage meter showed more then 12 the whole time. so i'm thinking its the battery, what u guys think???????????

Cool DONT RELY ON THE METER

pull the ALT out and have it tested. if your ALT is good then check your positive wire going to the BATTERY from the ALT. Test the line to ensure power is traveling from one end to the other. Also on that same line there may be a fuseable link. Also check your ALT FUSE.
