did a search, couldn't figure it out, so a quick hp Q

alright, i searched through a bunch of posts, couldn't relaly find anything, but are the stock numbers for fc's referring to wheel hp? or flywheel hp?

I was just thinking this same question, I just wanted to know the rwhp numbers for stock FCs though... particularly my car, the S5 TII.

flywheel wheel hp can be near the 100 mark if it has a lower than normal compression near 115 stock its like a 20-25% loss through the drivetrain

so all the numbers that we have on the spec sheets and stuff are flywheel numbers? and then the dyno-charts are rwhp?

Manufacturers will always quote flywheel HP, simply because it's more.

REAL entusiasts quote wheel HP.

(and that's 139.7 for me, thank you very much).

17% is the actual drivetrain loss, I believe. Yes, the numbers for our cars are flywheel hp, but dyno runs tell us rear wheel hp.
