Angry did racing beat send me the wrong radiator?

So some one please tell me whats up with this. I ordered a Koyo aluminum radiator from racing beat a couple days ago. When I ordered the radiator off their website it specifically says that it was a CHASSIS-SPECIFIC radiator. It said all fan mounts are situated to OE specifications, and using the OEM mounting locations facilitates fitment into the RX-7.

Well im looking at my koyo radiator right now and there is no mounting bracets like there is on my stock radiator. Im looking at the radiator on their website and it shows a different looking radiator with the mounting points that Im talking about. So did racing beat send me a koyo radiator that is not specifically for the rx7 chasis? Some help would be appreciated. I can't call racing beat until monday.

you take the mounts off the radiator and put it on the koyo.

thats what i thought after looking at other peoples koyo set ups. The mounts on my old radiator or attached to the radiatior. They wont come off unless i do some ugly cutting. Maybe my so called stock radiator is not oem and is a replacement?

sounds like a brass aftermarket replacement radiator.

go to a wrecking yard and grab some off a junk car for your series. the brackets are series specific so it has to be from your year range.

not as crappy as the thin walled koyo's. i've replaced about half a dozen of them. at $400 a pop, the customers didn't think it was funny either. of course thin aluminum transfers heat better but i have even seen them have pinhole leaks right out of the box.

if you can't tell i'm not much of a koyo fan anymore.

i have installed 3 brass FC fans, my local places offer some crazy lifetime guarantee on them, and they can be easily repaired if they get damaged ( but not worth it at the price )

you cant beat them for the price

i'm not even sure why rx7.com sais not to use the brass radiator in a TII. my car came with one already in it so i left it and it's still in there. while it's certainly not ideal anymore with my setup it has always performed just fine. 10+ years, no leaks.
