did my redline just increase??

HEY ive put an 1990 engine in my 1988 gxl and my redline is 7 but the 90 rx 7s have redline at 8 and to me there would be no logical explination as to why my redline wouldnt be 8 as well seeing how i put a 90 engine in it. am i wrong should i not push the limit?

Your engine's redline is 8000, but what have you done with the rest of your system? Stock S4 electronics have a fuel cut at 7800 rpm. You have to be more specific.
