Swapped out my s/4 Alt to s/5. With all the electrical parts I keep hooking up to my Battery I wanna do the FD Alt. Was the rated output the same all throughout the s/6's? Just curious.

As far as I know, S4 was 70 rated, 55 allowed, the S5 was 80, (dont know the min. on that). and the FD was 100, all models.

Thanks. I'll go and get a quote. I have a guy down here that can even upgrade the existing Alternators to higher amp output.

Don't do that, your alternator will have a shorter life........

Just upgrade it to one with higher amps.

Drawing more current than the alternator is designed to produce will wear it out faster. Changing the internal configuration of the alternator so it is designed to produce more current shouldn't result in it wearing out any quicker. However, all alternators are designed for 12V systems, so it's probably best to get an alternator built from the factory to meet your needs.

Belt sizes weren't mentioned. Atleast I don't think they were. Could you use the standard size FC Alternator belt with the FD Alternator? What about with Banzai's pullies? Same, standard belt could be used?

Apparently Banzai's pulleys can be used, they just need to be widened...

What about the belts? Can 2 stock alternator belts be used In conjunction with Banzai's Pulley? Or do I have to get different sizes?

Not WIDENED... the shaft size on the FD alternator is larger- you have to drill out the center hole.

Yes, I got Banzai's Pulley 2 days ago and when I have time, I have to drill out the Pulley to make It larger for the FD Alternator. What a setup!
