detonation elimination

Recently I heard about someone who made blockoff plugs/plates for the trailing spark plugs, which would leave only the leading plugs in the engine. this he claimed would virtually eliminate detonation during high boost.
what do you guys think about this idea?

Hmm me either.

Doesn't sound completely accurate though.

Also at high boost you need more spark so your not running as well. Or atleast that's what I'm guessing.

No.... the trailing holes will eventually fill up with carbon and cause problems, like broken apex seals, damaged rotor housings..... and you have to adjust the timing to compensate for the lack of trailing spark.... So don't try that...

Be our guest to try it. But maybe you should weld those spark plug holes shut instead of blocking it off.

Don't just "try it"... you'll nuke your motor. this type of experimental stuff needs to be left to the pros.

Yeah, please don't think I was endorsing that idea. I was on the edge of being sarcastic
