Detonation

its started getting cold lastnight and my car started to ping every now and then..... i attribute it to compression coming up and temperature..... what course of action should i be taking,, im running a bnr stage 3 at 13.2 lbs spike and about 11.0 avg boost. my mods are listed.... i really need a stand alone now but thats a cost ofa whole other car....... i think an rtek would be a temporary band aid it but would support my car to 14lbs

Check your timing and retard it if necessary, I had the same problem but it only became apparent when climbing hills.

You DO NOT want to destroy your motor... lol.

Just turn down the boost until you can either get the R-tek or whatever...

I detonated and blew my motor with a stage 1 hybrid and N/A rotors and EVERYTHING's unusable... ALL housings and rotors. The only thing usable is the frikkin' E-shaft... Screw the E-shaft.

hmm apocalyptic visions from the forum..... ok so i borrowed a timing light from the shop... it only had advance on it.. well when i turned it to advance it showed me what i thought to be was reatard.. i set my timing to stock... i normally have the yellow mark 5 degrees to the drivers side. this is retarded or advanced im pretty confused as i thought i had an understanding but i confused myself so anyways is retard yellow to the drivers or is it yellow to the passenger side???

i had an injector o-ring fail tonight i think this has been the cause of the funny behavior.......thanks all..also figured out that i havent been using three gallons of gas each tank..... my fuel light came on i havent seen it since i first bought the car. the fuel light comes on at 2.9 gallons. i can move my needles by hand so it was off so i dont get 16 mpg i get 19
