step on the gas and tell me if the engine spins until it blows or if it reaches a certain RPM and bounce back anf forth at that RPM. If you are right the RPMs will continue to increase until the engine blows or the flywheel shatters and comes through the floor decapitating you or at least removing a limb.
yes there are rev limiters in fc's but by now many will not work anymore. fuel cut on the rear rotor happens for all turbos and s4 n/a's at 7600 and 8600 for s5 n/a's. i dont know about automatics but im assuming its the same. btw dont waste money on a chip, get a safc...in the long run it is much more useful.

ALL fc's have rev limiters as do FD's. IT is a factory ecu internal function. S4's and s5 turbos in general have it right around 7600-8100, everyone's factory tach is off some so this can vary. s5 na's and fd's have it right around 8600-9200.

The rev limit should not take effect on a t2 in 5th gear until ~160-165mph...and you usualy don't have the power (or room) to go that fast. I've been at 155 in a t2 and was only at around 65-6700rpm as I recall.
