Talking Anticipation!!

heY was up my names dom im new here to the rx7 forums and today i should be getting my first car and my first rx7 its a 88 white gtu 5sp well i should say 4sp cuz something wrong with the 5th gear i dont kno i dont have the car yet but yeah im 17 this is my first car and the anticpation is killing me soo many thing going wrong ahhh but i will have it ... does anywun have ne suggestion on what ishould do to it first it has 200,xxx miles i wanna do a rebuild but im not 100% sure on if there a good machanice in jacksonville that can help... but yeah does anyone have any suggestion on what i should do first ? ill try to have pictures up soo

I'd get the tranny fixed first. Then you might want to do a clutch at the same time.

How well is it running now? Any idea on the compression?

check compression, if it is ok then fix teh tranny and get a new clutch, check the pulsation Dampener and check the sticky on the top of this forum.

i was there in january...except i had to drive 3 hours, and then tow it back 3 hours with my dad in -2degree wether, but hell I was warm. I know the feeling and congradulations, oh by the way now its time to get a 2nd job

16 here also, oldskoopimp, you would most likely want to start looking over / changing your little things first like, oil cooler lings, spark plugs/wires, changing oil, fuses, clutch fluid, checking things like that before you go on to the bigger things.
