Definative premix ratio?
Ive been pounding my head trying to figure out the best ratio of premix to use, looking through the threads I dont really find a definative answer.
Ive seen 1 ounce per gallon, which is 128:1, and this is what I use, but im thinking it may be much.
You see, I left my toolbox behind my car the other day for about two minutes. It was about 1 foot away from one of the tailpipes, directly behind it. When I came back to move it, it had a film of oil, or possibly sut on it. Im wondering if Im mixing in too much oil into the gas, and if its going to effect my emissions when I have to go get this thing tested.

First of all, I assume that your OMP is disabled? If not thats way too much. Anyway, I think that you should just keep running what you are now. Its going to totally screw with your emmissions, though. I personally can't tell you what to do, but I know it will effect the emissions.

I was running a little over 1 ounce per gallon when I got my car tested for emissions. Airpump and 1 high flow cat is all I had on, got 73 HC's at cruise and 86 at idle, easily passing.

There is NO definitive answer.
You do what you specifically need.

13B-RE + Standalone = No OMP.
I guess ill just wire this electric air pump in my car to the cat and hopefully ill pass emissions.
Maybe ill lighten up the premix in the fuel right before I go to get tested.

This is aside from your topic, but something really annoys me. Why does everyone call it an OMP? Where did this misinformation begin and WHY do most people not realize this?
Read the FSM, Mazda specifically calls it a Metering Oil Pump, or MOP, not OMP (oil metering pump).

It's been opened about 4 or 5 times over the course of the 10k miles due to perfecting the ports. No abnormal wear was noticeable except for the fact that the RA apex seals he is using were causing the same type of wear patterns that many others have reported. Aside from that, all seemed normal.
But it really hasn't been proven, so just do what you feel most comfortable.
