Decent information on rotarys?
Hey guys, I have spent the past three days searching online to find a source of mazda rx7 technical info. What i am really looking for is a comprehensive manual, or website with information on what makes the rx7 13bt run...I need to know what every single peice on this ting does, why it does it, and how it affects the rest of the engine and other parts. anyone who could point me to a source of good information along these lines I very much appreciate. I do have the factory workshop manual for my car, but find that it contains only instructions. What i would like is theory behind EVERY part of these engines. thanks again.

This is the closest thing that I can think of:
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/RE101.html
Check E-Bay for "Rotary Engine" by Kenichi Yamamoto, and "RX-7: The New Mazda RX-7 and Mazda Rotary Engine Sports Cars" by Jack Yamaguchi.
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.c...elf/01-RE.html
http://www.alibris.com/search/search...ck%20yamaguchi
Also a farily good, cheap "technical manual":
http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.c.../02-RBman.html
You can also order various SAE papers if your wallet is fat.

how stuff works is so cool!!!, it doesn't show anything comprehesive(like how the twin scroll works, which is still a mistery to me) but it's just fun to watch the rotor go round and round...

There's probably some factory manuals they used for teaching the technicians somewhere, but I know not where. You have to find it piecemeal like this: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/demystifying.html
Plus all those good url sited in the above posts.
