I got rear ended today, chick was doing about 30, I was stopped. I tried to get out of the way, but almost went into a 20 foot embankment. I was rolling when she hit me, so I took less impact, but I also was going about 15 mph towards the ditch. I barely stopped in time. Either insurance is going to total my car, or I will put the money towards a new car (most likely a 2002 Maxima) and part it out. Don't bother asking me now for parts, I'll start a new thread if I am going to.

It's a shame too, it has been weld-hood-shut reliable for 2.5 years since I got the engine rebuilt and streetported, but I was going to sell it anyway as soon as I fixed the front end damage as you can see. I guess this is just as well, not seeing my car driven around by some punk kid in town.

The chick is 24, she was on her way home from work like I was ~5:30. She was too busy worrying about the cars merging off the interstate to realize she had to stop for the light. I was talking on the phone but still was aware enough to realize she was coming for me. If I had just been sitting there, it would have been even worse damage. My neck and lower back hurt as it is, and I might get checked out tomorrow.

 

They are American Racing (on a jap car, kekeke) rims, dunno what style, got them 4 years ago.

This is my first car BTW, bought it over 5 years ago.

Definitely go get checked out. I was in a wreck 4 years ago and my back pain will be with me until I die. My medical expenses have exceeded what the accident settlement provided, and I still go for therapy at least once a month, usually more. Get a good lawyer, as well.

 

It's sitting at my dad's shop with plastic over the hatch. The computer and egi fuses are sitting in my dad's bronco in the driveway if anybody gets the bright idea to try to steal it

To tell the truth, I've had the car for 5 years, I'm kinda done with it. I am at the point financially where I can afford a car much faster and easier to modify than a non-turbo FC with 198,000 miles on it, if I so desired. It was a good car but I don't think it will see the road again.

 

go get it checked out NOW!!! goto emergency, trust me its worth it in the end, you will get a FAT paycheck for your pain and suffering... all you gotta do is goto the chiroprator for a couple months and then in about a year from the accident you will get paid.

 

 

There's a big difference in getting checked out and receiving proper treatment than what you made it sound like you were saying to do which is to rip the woman off. If you do indeed need to chiropracter, physical therapist, whatever else, then get it by all means. And make the bitch pay by all means. But don't be a bastard and fake and injury like a lot of people do.
