There are no such things as JDM tail lights - their identical to USDM S5 tail lights.

They definitely don't look 'stock'. A screen has been removed I think (makes them more see-through and much brighter when on). I think they look better that way at night.

A bit pricey, you can get a decent set of S5 tail lights for ~$200. However, yours look perfect. Dont feel ripped off.

you got owned with that price, *ripped off* find the lense and put it back in then you'll have some nice taillights. If you took your time you could have found them for $150.

s5 taillights are getting way overpriced, .....but hey if you wanna spend a couple of hundreds on taillights, thats your choice. I rather go to the junkyard & pick a set of s4 taillights in good shape for $15.

About 3 or 4 years ago, a man holding a set of clean s5 tails was *guaranteed* $200-225 plus shipping, no doubt about it, it would be less than a week before they sold. IT seems that as time has went on the price has gone down, from a seller's perspective. The last set I had for sale, probably a year ago or more, would *barely* bring $135. I was seeing some sets sold for $110 because they just wouldn't sell.

Perhaps the price went back up in the last few months, but I figured teh market got flooded by the japanese people selling them to US customers, and also by the increasing number of cars being parted out in the US as they get damaged or too far gone to repair.

i been looking for a set for a while. and where im at rx-7 parts are hard to come buy, i been to every junk yard with in 70 miles and nothing not a single 2nd gen rx. the one place i did find is in columbus, ohio called you wrench it but they wanted 200 for the lights. i acturaly paid 230.38 for the tail light had to pay 100.oo bucks for shipment from japan. but i really like them so i dont feel ripped off as much as i did last night. its all good my racing seats come today and i cant wait. also does any one have a turboII engine stripped down no air pump no power stearing no altanator no water pump no A/C just the block and rotors and eshaft. thanks

Its not whether anyone else feels you were ripped off or paid too much its whether the money you spent was worth it to you.

Which it seems like you you do feel it was worth so enjoy your purchase man.

I just picked up a set of new in box(!) taillights for my 86 for $125.

They're the S4 rectangle style, but that's fine with me - I actually like 'em that way

Yeah 300 seems steep...but if you include the labor and the extra stuff done to it it aint too bad.

I believe it's a ripoff. Almost a scam You thought you were getting JDM spec (like it would even ******* matter) tail lights. They are the same. And even if they weren't, they are just tail lights!
