Dead Engine? Seized engine?
Okay, I need to know if my engine is totally fucked. The car is an 88 TII.
I was driving around a corner, on redline, maybe a bit below, in oversteer, when the engine died. No fanfare or anything, just died. No bangs, smoke, metallic noises, nothing.... just dead engine. A few seconds before it started boosting eratically... but that was it.
Now nothing happens when I turn the engine over. It just shakes for a half second and does nothing, like its locked up or something. Does it in neutral, clutch in while in gear, anything. Also, the car is unpushable while in gear.
ANy ideas as to what might be going on? I didnt think a rotary could seize up like this.
