dash vents

dash vents

does any one know where i can get the defroster vents for the dash mine broke all to hell during dash removal. anything will help

dont ever get anything from the dealer.

mazdatrix is expensive too but its alot more cheaper than the dealer.

in example: spark plug wires - 40 bux at mazdatrix, 90 bux at the dealer.

dont even get ur maintinence at the dealer. all they know are mpvs, mazda 6, and 10% of the rx8. they wont even touch the engine, they;ll look at ur brakes and check ur oil, coolant lvls -_-.

only rotary specialty shops know rotary cars, not the dealer.

I disagree. Many parts are basically the same price as Mazdatrix when you get them at the dealer. Also, Mazdatrix is not at all expensive. They sell new parts and that is reflected in the price. They are about the same as anywhere else that sells new parts.
And those vents are only 17 bucks from Mazdatrix. I doubt they are more than 20 at the dealer, and you don't have to pay for the shipping from caliornia. The stuff I've gotten form the dealer came in next day, and he only charged a small fee ($4) for getting it in that fast. It might just be that the parts guy here is awesome, but they aren't as bad as people make them out to be for small cheap parts like this.

Dealer prices vs eBAY --> for vents, dealer wins

I have the same issue (88 vert). I found the left and right vents for $24 each (+ $5 for shipping on ebay). I did not buy them because they are used. Mine are deteriorating because of being 18 years old. The ones on ebay can't be that far behind.

I called the dealer for prices on new parts:

Left and right vents: $31.20 each (after tax ~$4.50 more than used on eBAY!)
Center vent: $86.80 I guess that is the price for both left and right pieces, I didn't ask.

I have not been able to find them on mazdatrix.

I would buy new for the left and right and use epoxy for the center. Once you get it back in, you'll never see it again. $90 bucks buys alot of epoxy.
