Exclamation Dash Lights and Parking lights don't work HELP!!!

Just recently i was driving my 86 down the road when my dash lights just started to flicker... after that they would "occasionally" come on but only to last for a few seconds... i also noticed (after getting pulled over at night) that i don't have any running lights!! I checked all of my fuses and they were fine... any ideas?

cold solder problems in the switch

i had the same thing.

go to the junkyard and pull the headlight switch (on the dash) and replace it in yours. problem solved (for me)

So you have checked the fuse, and the back of the headlight switch (where the harness plugs in) and both are fine??? As well as your headlights??? And the harness is not burnt at the switch???

Yeah right... I got swamp land for sale that you can build on as well.

And for all those who keep posting resolder the switch... resoldering the headlight switch is the wrong answer. So stop posting that crap and wasteing the guys time. If you had ever had this problem you would know better instead of just repeating crap you read off of the internet.

I checked all of my fuses... none of them are blown... i am not sure what fuse might be the wrong amp because i don't have the cover for the fuse box so i don't know what fuse is supposed to go where.... but yes i did pull them out one by one and checked them and i saw nothing wrong with them... what sucks is that this happened when the days are getting shorter so i am hoping that i don't get pulled over (again...). thank you for your patience and effort in trying to resolve this situation...
