Dash caps?

My dash is all cracked to hell. Does anyone make a cap to fit it or am I stuck with having to do a swap?

The difficulty is meager by itself, but is massive in comparison to my available time.

Nobody makes a cap for it that I know of. You would be on your own in making something like that out of vinyl or leather. I briefly tinkered with the idea and quickly dismissed it as I would either spend too much time or money, do a horrible job or even do too good of a job and the rest of the interior looks like crap. I remember seeing someone a long time ago recover it with vinyl and it looked pretty good, but unfortunately, I don't have pictures or a link.

I sourced a replacement dashboard.

A replacement is the best bet...the time to swap them is a big issue for me right now...plus the fact that no one around here has any parts cars.

It's a tedious job, that's for sure. Taking all the accessories off is the major pain, as once that's all gone I think there's maybe only 11 bolts that hold the actual dash in. If it's not your daily driver, I'd just plan on breaking it into a weekend or two project, that way you don't have to spend almost a whole day doing it.

EDIT: I just read another thread you posted in and it's your daily. Yeah, you may just have to find a day to do it once you have a replacement.

I pulled my dash to do a full swap to black interior. It sucks. Nothing hard about it, its just a **** *** job. Worth the effort in the end though.
