Damn TestPipe!!!
I can't seem to find JACK for testpipe info....obviously its something that isn't brought up much....I NEED a testpipe/main cat replacement to go from my header to my Y pipe....I've found ONE guy around here(forum) that makes them(bolt on), but its ONLY 2inch ID...I need 2.5. See, Im sure I could just take my car to any joe smoe shop an get "something" made....BUT it wont be flanged, and wont be removable...it will be perm..and I don't need that. So, PLEASE, someone has to have SOMETHING for me, some info, place, names, numbers...maybe a pipe?

Why not just go to any shop that does exhaust stuff and get them to make one for you? That is what I did, straight pipe back, it is cheap, or at least where I got it done it was. Like $100 Canadian and they installed my new muffler as well.....and it is very well done, I checked under car afterwards and was impressed with the workmanship. just my 2 cents.

Flanges would not be hard to have made at any machine shop or any garage that does exhaust work.....I am sure they could do it.
And the reason I said to just get a shop to make one is because I was too lazy to read the entire post and just saw the first 2 sentences or so and posted from there....sorry....hehe.....next time I will finish reading entire post.

It's still against federal law to make something intended to render inoperable the emissions system of a vehicle. Most exhaust shops won't make a test pipe.
Now if you show up in a truck and say you need a pipe thats 2.5" OD and has such and such flanges on it for your John Deer tractor.... Well, thats the kind of bullshit we have to pull around here.

I got mine for $10 at an exhaust shop w/ flanges. I just brought my cat there, said I needed a 21" pipe with this size flange on each end, came back 30 minutes later and walked away a happy man. I've got pictures of it somewhere too. Let me dig them up.

Hmm... That muffler shop is about 1,500 miles away, but if you *REALLY* wanted I could have my brother get them to make one and ship it out to you. Not sure what it'd cost to ship or anything. I'm also not positive if 21" is the distance from the header to your y-pipe, it'd be a good idea to measure first. Also, there won't be any gaskets for the flanges, so you'll have exhaust leaks. This is why it's usually better to have a local place do it, I just asked midas to do it.

Bonez race pipe from rx7.com
Thanks for the pics, are those dementions EXACT? 21inches from the flanges? or the PIPE is 21inches PLUS the flanges? Are the flanges parellel with each other? or are the tilted at all? thanks again..

the pipe was 21" after it was cut, then flanges were put on. The flanges were straight. However I'm not sure if that distance will work for the header you have, so you may want to measure first, then you'll know. I read it a long time ago in a thread here about just using a 21" pipe to connect a header (or in my case RB downpipe) to the stock catback. 21" for me was a little tight (think due to the fact I used the RB downpipe and not header like the thread said) But it worked for me regardless.

Hummm, interesting..because the NA and TII used the same MAIN cat, and that is pretty much the area that is getting filled in. I had the Bonez pipe, that replaces ALL the cats, from the manifold to the Y pipe...and the header just replaces the manifold, and 2 pre-cats..not the main, because they "recomend" you use a presilencer..phwwweew, I dont need that, I need a pipe.

yeah... it *should* be 21", that's what I used on my TII and I've got a na catback on there, and the downpipe would've bolted up to the cats (had I wanted them to), but anywho. Measure it, then goto midas and get it made, simple!
