Unhappy Damn sunroof...wont retract

I was driving around yesterday, sunroof open, CD player on, having a good drive, when I decided to pull into a car-wash, just to spray her off a little. So I put the windows up, closed the sunroof, and got out a sprayed off the car. I then hopped back in, and drove off, and went to open up the sunroof again, and it wouldnt go back. So I went back home and was trying to mess with it, and it just wont go back. It seems like the right side wont pop up at all. The left pops up, and tries to go back slightly, but then you can hear the motor strain, and it wont go back anymore. The right side will not pop up at all, and ever when closed the right side looks a little off. It is possable for the roof to come off the tracks or something? Ive never had a problem with the roof before, its always worked great. Any suggestions on what I can do ??

Yea...thats pretty much the problem. It wont even retract for you to be able to see whats up in there. I guess Ill pop the cover off and try to retract manually with that nut, but Im not sure if that will work either. Just makes me mad that it did this all of a sudden, ive never had any problems with the roof before.

yeah man it works wonders...and listen to me i had to spray ALOT of it in there to get it to even budge without me putting all my strength behind it. I even sat there for about 1 1/2 with a paper towel on the eraser side of a pencil cleaning out all the crud in the runners from 15 years of use....its nasty man

Try This:
The next time it get's stuck wiggle the key, while pushing the close button. my car is having the same problem and when I wiggle the key, it allows it to function again, I order a new ignition I just haven't installed it yet.

Stop over today and we'll take a look, I have some litium grease also, and teflon spray if you dont' want to use the lithium grease.

jbcobra is coming to pick up those seats around noon, stop over then, I doubt he's bringing his 7, but it'll almost be a little mini meet.

Plus, I want to compare our cars. Mine seems to be getting better the more I drive it, felt great thismorning.

It sure closes tight, my fingers still hurt. You and your damn "can't keep your fingers off buttons" hands.

Anyways, like he's pointed out, it seems to be binding up. It's not so much that the roof won't go back. The passenger side isn't popping up properly, which is causing it to not slight back....

Umm, you had said this to me just last week. Really, not to make a big deal or a joke of me, you did say that. For supposedly popping your Motor, that Is the reason why you couldn't buy my ACT ss Clutch Disk, X-treme Pressure Plate and Racing Beat Aluminum Flywheel.

i got mine kinda unjammed. i used about half a can of wd40 and using canned air like what you use for cleaning computers helps get the **** out there too. i still need some grease though. the weak battery doesnt help either.
