why would anyone go bigger than a 17" (and even that has been shown to have slightly lower performance than a 15" wheel and tire combo)?

On a 18" or 19", you know how much extra sprung weight that adds to each corner... hell you might as well drive around with a couple of 100 lbs sand bags in the trunk area.

i keep telling him that i'll give him a 2 second head start, then i'll come after him, but noooo...he won't race me...hahaha...his 18's are nice looking though, but to bulky for a NA...or any FC for that matter

Not only that but the arm from the center hub...adds more stress to center hub and suspension.

I don't really want this to get too off-topic but, does anyone here run 18 inch wheels in the rear with 17 inch wheels up front?

my sevenizzle gots da 26 inch-fidizzle... naw i run 17x7 all around. i was pondering the thought of the 18 rear and 17 front though.... such as on the newer corvette's and others. it looks good on them. post pics if you are running that setup.
