Damn this heat
Do all stock TIIs have heat issues with 90+ degrees F weather? Mine seems directly related to heat (and high humidity methinks). It only boosts 5psi in high temps. I don't like boosting it in high temps anyways, but it sucks. My car boosts fine in "normal" weather. Is there anything wrong? Should I drive gently on these hot days?
Thanks,
Jack

The only thing wrong is your mechanical abilities and diagnosing the problem... A well running finely tuned turbo II should have no problem in 90 degree heat. **** I can drive mine all day in 100 degree heat and never goes past the 1/4 mark on the temp gauge. YOU ARE GETTING AIR IN YOUR COLLANT SYSTEM. I GURANTEE IT>

my car also kinda feels a little weaker in 90+ heat. don't boost as fast... but should still hit the normal mark i think. But i'm only reading the stock gauge, so i dunno.

Anywho, do the normal tune-up things, check for codes, new fluids/etc, then go through and tighten all your IC piping/etc, it's possible you may have a slight leak somewhere, though unlikely. Chances are the problem will fix itself in the proces of a full tune-up/check-up.

Just did the plugs like 1k ago, along with coolant, air filter, and oil. Pulled IC today and cleaned it. Turbo has 140k on it. Could it just be dying? What else should I check?

When's the last time you changed your coolant? Maybe its time for a cooling flush. Check your rad hoses too. Are you running AT LEAST 50% water? Is your fan shroud still intact, and your clutch fan working properly?
Perhaps you should add a bottle of water wetter too.. it helps your cooling system work more effeciently.
Your car should still boost to the same amount regardless of temperature if you're running stock.
