dammit, gas cap rant

Ok, Is it just me, or did mazda forget to put something to hang your gas cap on (other than the car itself)when you're filling.

every FC that I've looked at, has nothing onthe gas door to hold said cap.

yeah it would weigh a whole 13 Oz. Big deal.

I think I might rice my car out with a cap holder....

LMAO

That is pretty much a more modern car thing, that started showing up on cars built in the 90's... not in the 80's

Actually, Mazda is about the only company I've ever seen that does that, but its just on new cars, as Ice said

Its actually pretty common now, even my Toyota Tacoma has it, as does both my Lexus and the BMW (but you would kinda expect modern luxury cars to have it).

i think it should have a fold out chair and a beverage holder when you pop the fuel door so we can sit on our lazy asses while filling up.

wtf! ...put the cap on the pump and pump the damn gas.

just put a wire on it and bolt the wire onto the car if you actually care that much

or just set it ontop of the car...

yeah, I just put it on the pump itself, or on the car(some weird pumps).

just wondering if it's really not on the FC's, or just the dozen or so I've actually looked in.....

and I kinda forget my car is really an 80's designed car, even though it is a 91.

heh

I actually stick mine on the hatch by the spoiler, that way its still there if I forget about it. I actually drove from houston to college station with it there (about 100 miles).

I do too. All the vehicles I have owned except the new ones were like that in having no tether for the gas cap. My old truck I just set it on the truck box. My caprice had the filler behind the license plate, so I used the cap to prop the license plate hinge open.

You need to find one of these:

A guy at work has one and it's slick. You just stick the nozzle in and go. Would make adding pre-mix from those injector cleaner bottles less messy as well.

psshhhh my moms V6 mustang has it, luxury or not.

anywhoo you aren't supposed to have curse words in the title or something and putting the gas cap upsidedown on the roof or spoiler won't kill you, this is a weird thing to rant about I mean it bugs me too when I look around for something to put it on but it's not a big deal and it's something you should expect form a 1995 or older car.
