cv axle rebuild
I was wondering if anyone sells rebuild kits for the axles on our cars?
Are the heavy duty joints people sell just the same joint, but cry treated or something?
The parts store I go to will send out my axle to get rebuilt for $35. I dont think its just new boots because the joints feel tighter.

When a CV is getting rebuilt, if they're doing it right, they grind out the CV cup b/c its been worn too large for the current rollers (tick tick noise), reharden the cup and install larger rollers. If they're doing that work for $35 i'd be very surprised.

But arent rebuilds from stores like autozone around 50 bucks + or - a little with lifetime warranty? Ive been going to this parts shop for a while and they have really good prices. The joints come back feeling tight, and with new boots. I dont know the details of their rebuild though
