Cutting off driveshaft sheild..?

Cutting off driveshaft sheild..?

Ok my driveshaft sheild is pretty bent up...can I just cut the sheild off with no ill effects?

yes, your talking about the shielt where it connects to the tranny right?

Or the housing around the outside of the shaft it's self?

the housing that goes around the tranny...it's a metal sheild.

we have driveshaft shields? lol.. you must mean heat shields? I ditched them long ago, no adverse side affects, though the rear of the car behind the dirverseat gets a tad warm sometimes
