i used to get that problem too when i take a corner real hard. Try and check your fuel pump strainer its probably all dirty. That was my problem and now i can take corners without bogging. Its pretty easy to access the fuel pump just remove the carpet in the back and take out the metal plate with 4 screws on it then just carefully take out the screws without stripping em and the pump is out.

You aren't using the ebrake to start a slide are you? I've had to "fix" my friends car when it was doing the same thing. Fool was stalling his engine every time he tried drifting.

Actually, if you can match your footwork to the e-brake pulling, it shouldn't stall the motor. You have to press the clutch pedal before you pull the e-brake. You can't let go of the pedal til you drop the e-brake down.

thanks for the info guys, i was having the same problem, for the longest time i thought all the fuel was goin to one side of the fuel tank and thus the lack of fuel and the bogging. Instead of just replacing the fuel filter, would it be wise to go ahead and invest in a walboro (sp?) fuel pump as a replacement? I mean, it is a 15 year old fuel pump.

oh, my problem sounded a lil more like this.
I'd come to a corner, turn just hard enough to keep from understeering, the moment the back end *tried* to come around, it felt like i had just put the clutch in and totally let off the gas BUT it was in gear (usually 2nd) and i had the gas on the floor just to be sure.

It sounds simply to me like the fuel in the tank is sloshing around away from the fuel pump and its baffle. Pump sucks air without gas and causes what you are describing. Surge tanks may cost money, but in a rotary for drifting they are worth every penny. See: detonation
