I have already bought an aftermarket head unit and speakers and now it is time for subs and an amplifier, but i dont know where to put them. If any of you guys have some pics of your custom setups or just suggestions i would love to hear from you.

How big are the subs and amp? If they are small enough you can put them in the doors otherwise you could make the storage bins a sub box for each sub, assuming you are getting two.

or.....you could just go with the normal sub box with the amp either bolted to the box or sitting in one of the storage bins

i got a 15 in a box that only fits as far back as the seats will allow it to got with out it hitting the hatch glass with my amp attached to the MASSIVE box
it kinda screws up my rear vision
sooo, i would go with 10s or 12s in a box just sitting were everyone can see'em and steal em, thats the only thing that sucks
unless you got some mad tinting
what ever you do, it'll probably be good, just dont slide down the ghetto tube (like i did)

Get 2 12" subs and build a box for them that is as wide as the space between the towers. Then have the subs facing back and mount the amp(s) on the back side of the box. Theres a lot into making the right box. But having it tight between the towers keeps the box from sliding everywhere. And if you can, theres a bolt hole in the trunk, use it to bolt the box down.

PM for more questions. I'm not a pro, but i've done a lot of speaker boxes in my FC. Peace

LoS

i sell boxes for 2 10's that fit in the spare tire well. they have plenty of volume and the cover still goes up over them so you can't even see them. sounds great even with the cover up

I haven't done it but I thought about it if I got the money I think that it would be need to put some 10's if you get them that small in the little cubby wholes behind the seat if there is enough air space that I don't know But for bigger speakers I would put them right behind the seat pointing toward the front in between the strut towers also just don't go to wal-mart and buy a crappy box either have a box custom molded to the car.

I'm thinking about mounting a single 10" sub under the dash... but I'm not a big fan of thump thump thump either... I just want some decent bass reproduction

big subs = rattley cars
