custom manifold question

i had a few questions on a setup ive been pondering over, as some of you might know my cars been down for a while for a turbo project, motor is almost pulled for streetporting and a rebuild. initially i had in mind s4 turbo II manifolds for my intake with porting to match it up right. now after extending the deadline of my project a few months due to other urgencies i have much more time to "do it right" so i could go IDA like the 1st gen turbos if i wanted too but i dont want the ida manifold or have to mess with it all, i would like to have a 3rd gen manifold and TB on it.

what if i were to buy this ida carb manifold here

make an adapter plate that fits in the middle of the FD intake and bore the holes out where it flows well and mount side feed injectors (secondaries) on the side of the adapter block and then do the rest like normal (intercooler and junk)

what are your opinions on this setup? nothing will be half assed as i have access to many shop tools, a shop, and several machines to fabricate parts such as what i mentioned...... thanks in advance

christopher

well thats the main reason im asking... im confused about the 2ndaries.... lets say i went with the IDA setup... then would all 4 injectors be where the tb is? or do you still keep the primaries on the block?

2 in block and 2 at the TB's is the "norm." But you can have more than 2 at the TB's if you want, whatever, and you can always keep the ones on the block very easily.

Or you could put 1 injector per runner after the TB's (on the LIM) if you wanted to. It's all customizeable to whatever you prefer, just weld in the injector bungs where you want/need them and make (or adapt to) a fuel rail.

i would say keep the 2 in the block...easy

and put the other two where you can mount a fuel rail easy and weld in the bungs
