How much clearance do you get between the framerail and turbo?

Those are pretty nice. I'm doing something similar for the stock turbo (not for my car).

It varies a little from car to car, but the original chassis I set them up on had 1.5" from turbine housing to strut tower. A few other cars have reported a little less than 3/4". Regardless it should fit every car. Point was to push it as far away from intake manifold as possible.

How much sense does it make to upgrade the manifold for a stock turbo?

You never know, I've always wanted to try that but never had anyone interested enough to pay for it.

Speaking of that I've always wanted to try and run twin series4 turbos...

The HKS manifold I also believe is no longer produced. It's also made by a company that sells millions of products a year. It also appears to have MUCH smaller runners then this product. And it doesn't look half as nice...

Thread/product bashing only works when you're comment makes sense.

you pay for quality, these manifolds look far better built than the HK$ one, and i have the HKS one on my car right now. i wouldnt doubt they perform far better too.

Don't forget that the HKS manifold is a cast unit.

If all goes to plan I will have a dyno comparison versus an SS autochrome unit by this weekend. In the future I would like to do a comparison involving the HKS cast unit, but I have to wait until a customer comes into the shop with that unit on his car already and previously dynoed.

As far as the manifold goes the specs are:

3mm tubing wall( .121")
Sturdy braced flanges( .470")
X-rayed for crack detection prior to thermal coating
Thermal coating done 100% in and out
13" runners
Available in any wastegate combination, hks 40mm standard

For now they are only available coated, I have 6 that are coated
As soon as those are all sold they will be avialable uncoated( $ 700 shipped)

It's for 6 port engines to clear the lower intake.

Well I don't have 800 or 700 or 400. You up for a product field tester?

HKS makes both a cast and a tubular.

I got to meet 1Revvin7 @ PRI in december. I got to see the manifolds that he produces, really, really top-notch stuff on display there. All of the welds (inside and out) were very nicely done, and that coating that's on them is pretty amazing, too. I want to get his internal engine coating done on my next engine, that's pretty sweet (Am I allowed to talk about that?)
