Where did you buy that pipe?? Did you have to do any extra fabricating to make it fit??

if you call a hand saw to make it shorter fabracating then yes i actually got it free from a friend it was off a acura inetgra GSR it was a short ram so youll need to cut it where the intake was at then shorten it to fit i can take it apart again and tell you all the parts needed. but right now this is what is needed off hand.
Intake with small hole on upper portion for bac valve hose fitting
longer hose for Bac valve
Filter
filter Connection to AFM(airflow meter)
breather for air pump
adapters to fit the intake piping to AFM and black plastic piece to the TB hope to see someone do a cleaner job than me that intake was crap

I like it, looks pretty good. One question, do S4s only have one hose coming off the intake tube before the elbow piece? I can see one in the 2nd pic, is there another one? S5s have two, I've never even bothered to see what they lead to.

20hp polished
15hp unpolished

you can also gain an additional 5-10hp by using yellow silicon couplers.

First, you need to make sure that your MAF is kept flat and level. If you don't, it will cause the flapper door to sag, and can throw off your readings. The way that it's oriented right now, you're probably running a bit lean.

Jerry - S4 cars have only one emissions fitting into the post-MAF intake elbow, while S5 cars have two. IIRC, in the S4 cars, it's the PCV relief alone, while in the S5 cars it's the PCV and charcoal canister return. Check your Haynes vacuum diagrams or your underhood diagram - it's marked there. No, I don't have any of that...

I would be suprised if he saw any more than a 5 hp gain from this - without the exhaust to back it up, it's nice but not earth-shattering.

Yes Agree with No7Yet, the angle of the AFM is going to be an issue with it reading correctly. I agree that the engine is probably running lean because of the angle.

That pipe would probably work on a S5 airflow meter, but as designed on a S4 your AFM would not be accurate.

*edit
The other thing that comes to mind looking at the pictures again , is the ID of the pipe you used. From the pictures it looks considerably smaller than the OEM tube, but maybe its just because of the brightness of the chrome??? And how is the AFM being isolated from engine vibration???, since it looks like the rubber tubing you used is very very short and I don't see inthe picture any sort of mount for it too the body of the car.
