Custom intake (Which air fliter???)

Ok i have a 87 TII and Im making my own cutom TID and intake. I have already ordered the HKS adapter from K2RD. My ? is whats the difference between all these filters. I want a air filter with the middle velocity stack but that dont narrow it down much. Theres a million (APC, K&N, Holley, R1, Blitz, HKS, Tsudo, ect....).
I also see these the twister type ones but i dont think they would help becase of the square air sensor would screw up the air flow patteren. I know the biggest answer will be K&N but there are SO MANY CHEAPER ones as low as $12.99 or up to $150. Which is the cheapest out there with the velocity stack in the middle of the cone and has a good flow of air?

Also are they all washable or to you replace them? Can you wash the ones that dont use oil?
