custom front bumpers

anyone ever tried bumpers from other models or other vehicles and found them a close fit? close enough that only minor mods were required for fitment rather than major reconstruction of the front bumper? seems like the style of front bumpers are limited for the FC

There was a guy which molded a wrx/impreza front skin on a FC. It looked pretty good but it all depends on your skills.

It's also hard to find something which will fit out body lines.

Sounds like what I was considering doing, I saw this one subaru lip on ebay that I thought would look pretty good on my Rx7, if I can see some pix it'd be easier for me to see how close of a fit it'll be.

a popular mod ar0und here is adding a 240 zenki lower lip to the S4 bumper.. it bolts right up with not much more then a few mm or deviation in curvature and pretty much the SAME width as the FC bumper. you'd need to be good with glass or some form of composites to make the sides fit over the fender nicely..

I'm going to be using the bottom half of an S5 bumper on my S4 (b/c i'm crazy and like my S4 trim) so i'm going to have to cut both in half right below the trim strip and find a way to re-connect them so it look good, anybody have any ideas othen than nuts/bolts?

sorry for the thread jack, but i figured its relevant

Wow- that looks really clean, and I like that the FTP's were kept.

Smooth work!
