Custom flush headlamps
Here's what I was thinking. I haven't measured yet, but I'm almost positive that there's got to be at about 4" difference in height between the front and rear of the headlight cutout. I was thinking I could make a filler that would go horizontally back from the beginning of the bucket to the rear of it, then go straight up. To this I would mount four Catz driving lamps. The filler panel could be fiberglas, carbon fiber, steel or aluminum. I'd have to make sure to make it stiff enough that the headlights don't bounce around, but I'm sure that could be done.
Finally I'd cover the thing with Lexan, and then put slim-profile fog lamps in the FTP gaps and replace the FTP lenses with more Lexan.
What do you think? Will it work? Can it be made legal?

I dunno if that would work...i don't think there's 4 inches difference in height. It seems like a pretty shallow angle from the top of the headlight cover to the bottom. Let me know if it works out, I'd love to get rid of my popups!

While it is about 4" (I have to dig up my measurements for exactness) difference from front to back, there is metal across the fron of the engine bay that cuts the usable space at the back of the headlight area in half. I've been looking into making custom reflectors and mounts for H4's, but don't really have the math to make it work yet.
