Lightbulb Custom Exhaust Idea

I was currious, i have a custom header already on my car and was thinking of an exhaust.... i was breifly thinking that i could have NO cats and NO mufflers on it and have the exhaust short and come out the passengers side just after the door, what do you guys think...?

it will end up being approx 2 3/4 exhaust all the way from the engine out, minimal bends, no muffler, no cat, nothing but straight flow....

comments are greatly needed!...

-Anthony

P.S. this is just an idea

You haven't even heard loud until you've heard a rotary with a header at full song.

Here's another

for exhaust, I was thinking for my ae86 with an 88 carb'd 6port. True dual exhaust, probably a 1 3/4" for each rotor, no cats just an h-pipe about 2 feet back. And have each exhaust pipe come out infront of the rear tire. Has anybody ever runned true dual exhaust before on a 7, my goal is to make it as loud and crackle as much as possible.

One of my friends boasted that his Mercury Montego with a 302, cam, headers, no pipes, was louder than my last RX-7. At the time, I had a header, straight pipe to the Rotary Performance mufflers. It was pretty loud.

I asked him, "louder than my car is now or louder than my car is straight-pipe?" He said, "louder than it is now" and said he's NEVER heard an uncorked engine louder than a 1.3L uncorked rotary.

DUDE, IT WILL BE LOUD. I drove mine for 20 miles with just the header on one night to take it to the muffler shop, and I was deaf in my right ear until the next day. It scares the crap out of people you're passing on the highway too!

I'd say you have to hear it uncollected! Someone film me as I pass by in my GTU! damnit! lol now that i have camcorder I've heard both collected header and uncollected header. I think the streetable is way more bareable! Probably because of pulses smashing into each other on the way out.

LMAO!, i think i would like to be able to have my hearing till my later years, so i guess this is a bad idea, but it would come out the passenger side ( ahahaha ), and shoot LOTS of fire, but decible wise, eep....

lol, well It's not just my direct neighbors. I live in a town where it's ALL old people, it's kinda hard to believe but when I drive around, 1 out of every 20 cars, has someone under 50 driving it. I've gone 2 days without seeing any strangers under 40. I got an rb header, no cat, and 3" pipe that I'm putting on my turbo vert. I won't go over 30, but I won't switch out of 2nd gear , I've actually had an old guy follow me home cause I passed him, I saw that it was the guy I passed so I jumped back in my car and tailgated him all the way back to his house, I Know it scared the **** out of him but they **** me off everyday.

Note the Stang in the far lane.
He sounds like 4 Harleys strapped together.
You can't even hear him over the 13B turbo.

short video clip

Oops - that should now work...
