cruise control wont work

where is the ecu located? (91 coupe). The one thing i've noticed is my switch is momentary, while the switch on a friend of mines (87 gxl) toggles on and off. is that normal or is my switch messed up?

S4 cruise control switches lock on and lock off, S5 cruise control switches are momentary.

For Coupes:

the cruise control system actually has its own troubleshooting feature, and it is quite extensive in terms of testing for a problem. take a read about it in the FSM (under "body electrical" section).

if you have a S5 switch, you need a S5 cruise control brain
